Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion Woman Falls 600 Feet From Yosemite's Half Dome Summit

Last time I hiked half dome in the late 90's I recall it being said that despite it being scary, no one has ever fallen from the cables, now 5 deaths since 2006. I wonder if decades of foot traffic have smoothed the rock so it's more dangerous now.
