I have read the article and I can say that it was one of the proof that national parks have been having a dangerous year and I think these past years could be included.
maybe just more people there. Been pretty there with all the water, also turning things slippery
For comparison, in an average year, 50+ people die on Mont Blanc alone (no quota on that mountain). Nature is dangerous. You send more people there, more will die there.
