Funny my alternative is actually several hours shorter. I could take 99 to Fresno and then 41 to Fish Camp where I am staying. The drive up 395 through Mammoth and to the Tioga Pass would be much longer but a much prettier drive that I haven't taken in a long time.For me either way I win and it's all good.
