Yeah- i just got a free standing tent specifically for Whitney; and use 'rock pegs' with regular stakes- after a windy & rainy night in Grand Canyon. Here the wind comes down the canyon from the rim at night... Tarp Tent stayed up, and was the only one to be dry the next morning. Thanks
