You are very, very lucky Chicago. It's a happy trip if you make it back in one piece. Next time you go, "The Notch" is right at the exit of the chute/gulley. As soon as you top out, you'll only walk another 10-20 ft. The wall staring at you is the final 400/500 you have to do.
I have never done that traverse, and never will. It looks easier in pictures, but gives me the willies in real life. I can feel the fear reading your report. Count your blessings, as I believe that traverse has claimed a few folks. Congrats on an adventure and making it back in one piece.
