I didn't want to offend anyone and this post will possibly be pulled. Censorship is a world we live in, but I understand.

****As a note... I would never do what my friend did. I've been angry a few times with rude people and always wonder why they are like it. Sometimes I think I should say something, but then walk off wondering why I didn't take the time to express myself. What my friend did was totally out of line.... and he used the one word I would NEVER use, so yea, I do have a problem with that, but I think from time to time people sometimes get fed up with others who think they are "above" it, think they are entitled. This society is full of "entitled" people who don't give a rats bottom about anyone but themselves and could care less about someone actually being nice.
I am personally sorry that I offended anyone, but that's why I put it where I did, as it has nothing to do with hikes, climbing, camping, etc. It has to do with what we sometimes want to say to jerks, but just don't do. Again, I would have never done what he did, will never do what he did, but I understand why he was frustrated as he was trying to be nice, tried to help someone else and they totally ignored his efforts. Was he right? NO! Does he have to deal with the fact HE was a jerk? YES! And most of all, should a person put value in what another thinks or does (i.e> the women who he had hoped would thank him)? No, you should not get upset because others didn't do what YOU wanted them to do.
Again, I am hoping this is taken in the light it was meant to be..... frustration from someone who is a really good person and a person who bends over backwards to help others and the community he lives in, in fact he physically and emotionally does more for others than anyone I know.
Hope my apology is accepted.
Joe
