The campfire permit is good (and required) for all of California, and can be downloaded free at any number of sites, including
Sequoia NF which includes an entertaining little quiz. Its for the entire year, its free, and its mainly an exercise to get you to read the rules that it includes.
It is NOT however all you need to know or have, as the NPs and NFs are all instituting various levels of fire restrictions and prohibitions, so you need to check specifically with every jurisdiction you go into.
