Went up to LPL today. Training for both me and my brother-in-law for a summit attempt later this summer.
...Absolutely beautiful day and it was far less crowded than I would expect for memorial weekend.
Side note: I am really amazed at how much trash is at LPL. I picked up an incredible amount of broken glass, both in the water and on the shore. I can see how a case could be made to ban glass bottles on the trail.
Tom, thanks so much for helping clean up. Since Lone Pine Lake can be visited without a permit, lots of people day hike there for a picnic and head back, so it's a different crowd than higher on the trail.
