RP: I am really fascinated with your tenacity to set out on a trip where you bushwhack for several days completely without trail. It had to be an awesome but tiring trek. I can sure understand the use of "misery" so much.
Looking at your map, I got into our favorite mapping site, Gmap4, and created a rough gpx of your route. I like it because you can then zoom in or out and move the map around to get more detail on different areas. Check it out:
RogueP_2013_wk1It was fun being able to zoom in on the map and follow your progress.
When you were on Bigelow Peak, you were half a mile from the PCT and Jack Main Canyon. I hiked through there more than a dozen years ago on my way from Tuolumne Meadows to Sonora Pass.
P.S. A big thanks to Joseph, the creator of the Gmap4 site. This is the first time I tried creating a gpx route, and it worked quite well. Amazing work, Joseph!!!
