Glad you got them Jeff. Not sure you would want to alter plans at the last minute, but once you're in Lone Pine to check in at the Visitor Center, you might just ask about the availability of Main Trail permits.
There is a good chance you still might snag a Main Trail permit due to the no-shows.
But the Cottonwood Pass loop would be a rewarding and enjoyable way to see Mt W!
