Wrong logic.
correct logic: You can't depend upon making up with unreliable technology for someone who is deficient in the first place.
I am not qualifying anything, because I actually know the results of the investigation, and listened to the taped radio call. There was no error in reading or writing involved.
But even if there were, that is still a drawback of the technology--you can still have errors, even when the technology works perfectly.
