A few more photos from the Lone Pine Fire by Matt Helt.
The Whitney Portal campgrounds and the Whitney Portal Store, and residences at Whitney Portal have been evacuated by the Forest Service and Inyo County Sheriff's Office.
The Lone Pine Campground remains evacuated and the Whitney Portal Rd and Hogback Rd are closed.
The Meysan Lakes, Mt Whitney, and North Fork trailheads are within the closure area.
