Expect road closures of 3 to 4 hours daily. Carpool or use a shuttle, the number of parking spots will be very limited.
A parking permit will be issued to Whitney hikers with their wilderness permit. Day hikers will be issued a one day parking permit for the date of their hike. Overnight hikers will be issued a parking permit for up to 3 nights. A parking permit does not guarantee a parking space.
