Coyote Flats is an area popular with locals who ride ATVs on the numerous dirt roads that criss-cross that area. Hopefully, some of them will see her.
If she has tried to go East toward the Owens Valley, she will encounter many deep canyons, which will make the search more difficult. I have hiked that area many times and was actually temporarily lost once, even though I am familiar with Coyote Flats. SAR is going to have a big job finding her.
Group hiker alert: STAY TOGETHER! How often do we have to say that and people still ignore that cardinal rule?
