The Detwier Fire is pretty big, but to the west. It's not likely to spread directly into the park from where it is (but it's pretty big already, so anything is possible), but you can't get into the park on Hwy 140 (coming from Whitney, you'd take Hwy 120 Tioga Road anyway).
