Dang, my boots are not waterproof. I wear Vasque Breeze, the non-waterproof nonGore-Tex version. I'll just have to try to stay dry by avoiding water. Is that possible?
These Vasue Breeze hikers are highly breathable, so when they do get wet, they dry out quickly. Will bring extra socks just in case.
Or I might go light with a Vasque Mindbender trail-running shoes (heavier duty than your average trail runners).
I'm doing the day hike this Friday with my brother and nephew.
