https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5927/Locally, in the Owens Valley, the smoke is still present in the valley, but for one brief period on Sunday. Above about 9,000 feet the skies are clear, but this might change, depending on wind patterns. I hope to hike up to Bishop Pass tomorrow and will report on conditions. The town of Bishop is flooded with hikers who have bailed from the JMT, because of the smoke.
