We have received some conflicting information. For overnight Whitney permits, how far in advanced can we pickup our permit? I undestand we can't start our hike until the day that our permit allows, but what about just taking possession of the permit? One of the ladies in the ranger station told us we could not get it until 10AM the day of our permit, but the website here:
https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/inyo/passes-permits/recreation/?cid=stelprdb5356869 seems to say we can pick it up 2 days ahead. Can anybody please confirm?
