You're overpacking.

Just for comparison, when I go snowshoeing in 30 degree weather, I wear soft shell pants, a long sleeved baselayer top, gloves, and a thin beanie. I carry a hardshell jacket and a thin down jacket in my pack.

Were you planning on hiking in the snowboarding pants? I would DEFINITELY drop them. Far too hot and bulky. Replace with some sort of nylon pants. Go to Costco, they usually have them for no more than $30 depending on season. I would probably ditch the snowboarding gloves as well. You can hike with your liner gloves and shove your hands in your pockets at the summit.

BTW, I will be going up Oct. 4th as a dayhike.
