On the 13th I snapped a pix of Mirror Lake with partial cover of soft ice, see below. On the same hike friend "marmoting" snapped and posted a nice pix of Lone Pine lake with hard ice. He found similar conditions as Mirror Lake yesterday on the north fork Big pine lakes.
