My group was able to get overnight permits for July 19. I'm optimistic that the trail will be open by then however our group leader and the only person who can pick up the permits wont be able to go on the hike with us. Would he still be able to pick up the permits for the rest of us without having to be on the trail with us? I dont remember having to present photo id's on the trail last time. Also, would we be able to give his extra permit to another friend of ours?
