On April 1 Reservations open for remaining dates at 7am PST, slots not taken by lotto winners. Given the volume of entries this year, this is expected to be zero.
On May 1, Dates from unclaimed lottery released for web reservation at 7am PST.
Keep trying at random times, some people are nice and turn in the permits they aren't planning to use.
The 'walk up' last minute permit system, i believe has been replaced by a 2 week ahead of time online last minute permit system. Thats what i'm looking to learn more about, as i've never had a lot of luck on april 1 or may 1 in years past.
