I was up there in early July and the river crossing were very manageable. For one creek on the way up I took my boots off to cross because I didn't want to get them wet, but the rest of the time they were crossable with boots on.
We are getting into later summer and thunderstorms can cause rivers to rise quite a bit, but usually for only a few hours. I have heard stories of people getting stuck on the way down because they couldn't cross streams that were easy to cross on the way up.
