Ah, so you haven't been up the bowl in winter yet? I thought you had.

Crampons are not that bad Joe. This is what I have:

I may get the G12's for icier conditions, but the G10's have worked for me 5 times up the bowl. They also have the flex bar so they are easier to hike in.
I still think your ice axe find was a sign!
Maybe Gary, you, Curt and I should hike it in Feb???
