I gotta tell you, Shin is one of my idols. I've read so much about him and his adventures and I was hoping to meet him someday. Well, today was the day. I saw him coming down the Baldy Bowl this morning and introduced myself. I recognized him from photos on these sites. He was hiking with a couple of friends and they were all as cordial and friendly as you could expect. He spent lots of time talking to my buddy and me and invited us on a hike. Heck, I'm only 193 Baldy Summits behind Shin!

And yes, I did summit this time after my Baldy Bowl adventure of two weeks ago. Even have my leg bandaged.
