I'll let you know how my single wall 4-season tent works re moisture. I will use it in late march and probably again in October. Not suitable for summer, though.

here's the wettest our interior tent has hever been - freezing cold no wind night on Island Pass last July 14. The bug netting was enough to keep us dry inside.

I'm with Rogue on this one. I've been in a tarp type shelter on really cold nights and have had condensation o'plenty collect on the inside of the tarp. I think it might be because your breath rises upon exhalation. A tent with rainfly might work differently but a single wall will certainly frost up even with the door open.

The bivy will keep the sleeping bag dry.
