OP Karl Helser K Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 1 Oregon	Four of us are going up to UBSL next Monday (6/27). We will climb Whitney via the MR on Tuesday, Then Russell on Wednesday. We were wondering if we should pack in snowshoes. I've seen some talk of postholing...so that's why i"m asking...

Steve C S Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 8,509 Likes: 103 Fresno, CA	The reports I have seen where people took snow shoes was that they were not worth the extra weight. The postholing will occur when the snow warms up mid-day, but there is such a boot track up the MR that you should be ok most of the time.
