Looks like he needs to edit a couple of his links as they still point to your jpeg location/name.

Looks like he got them fixed.

...So I'll be changing the WhitneyZone main page and replacing the web cam picture. We'll be moving on -- we've got better things to do than duel with Doug.

You wrote it? Interesting. Again, intellectual property.

Thank you, Steve C, for allowing my wife and I to be "associate" members of your website.

BTW, how come I didn't get invited for pizza with you and wagga? Wut up with dat? cry

Hey, it's okay! grin

Oh...I like the names of the peaks. I could never get them right except for the "big one" on the right.

Journey well...

Does it make any sense to put a up link to WPSMB?

Doug might appreciate the extra traffic - or not?

I could very easily do that. Would have been easier than changing the page as I did.

But I think we'd better hold off for a few weeks or months.

I wish I could get an idea of what Doug is most irritated by -- this WhitneyZone site with its forums, or our carrying the Orientation Notes, or displaying his web cam picture.

Perhaps it's the LogMeIn access to that computer. He might believe that you have full access to his entire network with that. If that is the case, then one could not blame him...

Sad it is..... no question.

I agree with everything said, but I also think Bee's comment about the closeness of the town might make it difficult to find another location is on the mark. However, having said that it would be possible: maybe just not now. Sometimes time needs to heal the wounds.

I do get the feeling, and wrongly deserved I might add, that we on the Whitneyzone board are viewed negatively by many.

I can envision, a location, like the Dow, or Best Western that has a web site already and they incorporate our web camera picture into their web page. I can see also some agreement to sponsor each other.

Again, things need to settle down a little.

Oh, by the way, I really like the replacement picture. Any thought to a small slide show?

Paul

I truly hope you don't. Deletion and major editing of threads on the "other" BB drives me crazy. Any BB which does that loses my interest rapidly.

IMO the only threads which should be considered for deletion or major alteration are those which become abusive, and thus far none of the posts I've read on this BB have been in any way abusive, including this one. You explained the "why this BB exists" in a most even-handed way, and in no way have been disrespectful to anyone. Non-plussed yes - disrespectful no, and I for one thank you for your candor. Part of me would like to hear Doug's side of the issue, but mostly I don't as then I might be tempted to take sides/form an opinion, and I'd really rather not be touched by the drama.

But please reconsider the policy of how/when threads are modified or deleted. Let the politicized media attempt to re-write history, and allow the "real people" the ability to express themselves without being censored.

Edit: This thread has been moved to the Chat room forum, and the temporary web cam forum has been deleted. Also several posts below opining what to do with this thread have been deleted.
