Day 1 camp at the Portal as the roads are closed so you have to hike 4 miles to the Portal. Day 2 camp at LBSL and there was some deep snow.. without snowshoes I would not make it to UBSL and be back at work Monday.. Why does WORK always get in the way, heheheh?? I use a 10 degree bag I sleep warm and get hot quick. I do recommend 2 sleeping pads, sleeping directly on snow/ice can get cold quick. I only took one sleeping pad to save space and wish I brought the roll up foam pad for an extra layer.. temps were in the 30 to 40 during the day and as cold as 10 at night! _________________________ Tommy B Bicksler7.com
