I heard on the radio just this week that some guy climbed frozen Bridal Veil Falls butt naked (except for boots) while his friend photographed his climb. Sure would like to see the photos of that climb. I haven't been able to find any articles on this climb. If someone finds an article or photos on this climb I hope you'll share on the WZ.

Not Yosemite:

A man ice climbing without ropes in western South Dakota has taken the sport to a new extreme: he did it while naked.
Law enforcement officers were called to Bridal Veil Falls on Monday afternoon after receiving reports of a nude climber.
Officers with the National Forest Service responded and encountered a man climbing in nothing but boots. Authorities say another man stood nearby laughing and taking pictures.

Bonnie Jones with the National Forest Service says the two men explained that they "wanted to have a light-hearted moment."

Jones says the men thought it would make people laugh when they drove by. The two men received a verbal warning.

Mike,

Are you saying there is more than one Bridal Veil Falls!!! Somehow that just doesn't seem fair to me that there could be two Bridal Veil Falls. In my heart the only Bridal Veil Falls is located in Yosemite. Thanks for breaking my heart.

There is actually a third Bridal Veil falls. There is one on Hwy 50 near Placerville. It is on the south side of the road, so generally speaking you would only see it if you are driving west. It is nowhere near as impressive as the Yosemite BVF.

Sorry about your heart. I just didn't want a bunch of ice climbers heading out to Yosemite's Bridal Veil Falls looking for adventure and finding none.

(actually there are quite a few Bridalveil Falls around the world)
