Sometime this evening, we will be moving Whitneyzone to a new server. Over the past 6 months we have seen a number of problems and outages due to circumstances beyond our control.

So we are moving to a server hosting company based in So. Cal. It has a good record hosting CascadeClimers.com, which also runs a UBB Threads forum. I am hopeful that the new service will be 100% stable.

So this evening, you may see the board locked for a time being. When that occurs, please be patient. When it comes live again, it should be running on the new site.

I am hopeful the switch will take less than 30 minutes. When all is done, I'll post a reply here.

Edit: Now planning on switching sometime Monday.

Thanks, Steve. This takes a lot of sustained effort. Not only do you keep the technical part going, you do a great job moderating the discussions also. I suspect that's even more challenging at times. Thanks for all you do!

The hosting service has changed! We're now running on a server in So. Calif, and no longer on one from Montreal.

There was some down-time between 8 and 9 PM this evening, but all should be working for everyone now.

The only thing I see is that the times on posts made in the past several weeks will show 11 hours behind the time they actually were written.

...and now I need to get the webcam computers adjusted for the new site, too...

Thanks for everyone's support and patience. I am hopeful we won't have anymore glitches and problems with the site.
