Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion Exchange Permits by Mutual Cancellation?

I won 4 overnight permits for August 19th and unfortunately will not be able to use them. I am wondering if someone else might have won permits that they can't use and might want to exchange. I understand that 'exchanging' isn't all that feasible - what if we both cancel at same time and then rebook each others permits? Just trying to be creative and get a chance to get on Whitney this year. I am open to date possibilities, and am also open to you only having 2 overnight permits and not 4. Thank you - Max

They tell me that permits returned to the system are released for on-line re-use randomly within the 24 hours after they are returned.

...which reminds me that I have one to return.

Edit: And after returning it, the number available did not change.
