Anyone here familiar with some good hikes near Tucson? I'll be there on business in April and will have a free weekend to hike. Never been there.

I am in Tucson!!! There are four ranges to choose from, with the highest peak at just under 9500. Most popular area is Sabino Canyon at the base of the Catalina Mountains, if you want to get away from the crowd, the Rincon Mountains are nice, if you want treeless trails with a lot of sahuaros try the Tucson Mountains, if you want some quick elevation gain without a mountain drive try the Santa Ritas Mountains/Madera Canyon (my favorite). If you want more info let me know I belong to a couple of hiking groups that post hikes often.
