This is good stuff. That is amazing what he did. I had the privilege of talking to this guy years ago when I ran into him while he was on duty in the Sierra Club hut at horsecamp. Very modest guy and reluctant to talk about it. For anyone who's done Shasta in a day the thought of doing it even twice seems impossible. This guy had trouble keeping his pants up he was so lean. Just in great shape and used to the altitude from living on the mountain most of the summer. He told me he hiked up in tennis shoes because it was faster. The night accents without crampons and skiing down on the ice is pretty amazing. This is truly epic what he achieved.
What's cool about this is that he did it with just his friends and in a low tech way. No sponsors or publicity. He just wanted to see what he could do and he went for it.
