glad I just bought my age 62 lifetime $10 senior national park pass, so if they want it back they will need to, um, take it from my cold, dead hands.

I have to agree. Shoot, when we head to any of the parks, we'd often have my M.I.L along. Sometimes she would forget the Senior Pass, so it was cheaper to just buy another one. ...such a deal!

When I was in Death Valley last month, I wanted to get my pass, since I now qualify. (Senior Pass, good for life -- purchased in Death Valley: Appropriate, no? ) Only problem, due to their shortage of staffing, the ranger stations and visitor center were all closed at the times we drove by.

When I read this "Seniors to pay more in National Parks" I immediately read the article, expecting to find a starting date for the new fees. Instead, the article is about testimony suggesting the fee be increased.

So fees for the senior pass have NOT been increased at this time, based on this article.

They should sell pre-orders good for when you turn 62.
