I had spent all my previous times at and north of Whitney /JMT-related so coming over Miter Basin and Crabtree Pass was a delight. As my friend Dan quips, "we have now seen the elephant"

Glad you had a successful trip, Harvey. Sorry to hear about the foul weather. I must say, making a looong day and getting "out of Dodge" is something I would do, too.

I've heard so much about the Miter Basin area that I think that will be the next place I visit when I plan another trip.
