Sheldon Neill posted this in his Facebook page, but he didn't take it. I am not sure where it came from, but sure is awesome.

Here's what he posted with it, but there is no ski area in Sequoia:


It would be cool if someone can find the original site where it is posted, and identify the location.

OK, I Googled "full moon" and "Sequoia" and limited the search to the past week. The picture turns up in various places. So did this reference to Photoshop, which had a link to a similar picture.

Funny: I heard there was a really cool pic of Half Dome from the Central Valley out there, too...

On that website, select the 2560x1600 size and click download, and you will get a really large version.

I'd still like to know where in the world it is. That lighter area (upper left) on the mountain appears to have some sort of avalanche reduction structures.
