Mt Whitney Zone Forums Picture Gallery Lightning-stricken spots at Horseshoe Meadows???

Burned spots from lighting strikes(?) at Horseshoe Meadows, CA. They are circled in red. They were HUGE, all over the place, and we never saw them inside fire rings. Plus, an electrical storm moved through the area 2 weeks earlier. Is there a name for these things?
