I got this message from Inyo National Forest:
We just found out today that the forest service website will be shut down for the duration of the "Government Shutdown"....
So, any of your links to our web may hit a blank wall, we don't even know what sort of error message will show.
For your information, all wilderness regulations as well as all laws are still in effect. Quotas will begin May 1, hopefully we will be back before then. We have mailed out all the Whitney Lottery letters, with the exception of the ones that had "Bad" credit card numbers.
Wish us luck with our forced unemployment, we would rather be serving the public.
