That's very interesting! Last year we met a sturdy, muscular hiker at Wallace Creek, Reinhold Metzger, who did JMT in 5days, 7 hrs and some minutes. He is an ex-Marine and is planning a Yo-Yo to beat his own record. Obviously no resupply to worry about! When I shook hands with him, the JMT bug bit me!
