Thanks for that tidbit of info...very important since I do plan on carrying the SPOT, my GPS, and maps (rookie hiker :)). I'll have to find a good place for both and hope there are no problems. Do you know if all GPS's have a negative effect on SPOT or just certain mfg's & models?
