Yea, the tickets are a bit out of sight. I took 5 kids skiing a couple of years ago and I decided it was better for them to ski (snowboard) than for me to do it. I did ski one of the days when a couple of the kids decided to take a day off.
When I was a teenager, I lived in the Valley and used to head up early in the morning to Mountain High (Holiday Hill back then) and pay $11 for a weekday ticket. Price of gas was about $1.50 or so. Being by myself I met lots of interesting skiers on the chair ride up.
Yea, I don't know how people afford a few days in the mountains skiing with the prices now. Guess we're part of the 99%.
