Brutal hike, MooseTracks! That rockfall is something I'd want to stay away from!
Is Mendel the one with a big crack between the main summit and the slightly higher "tower" where they put the register? If I recall, when I was there, it was just too dicey to jump across to the register. It looks like the crack is filled with snow right now.
