Drive to
Wawona. Park & get the
Mariposa Grove shuttle. Walk up through the Grove, not missing the
Grizzly Giant and the Museum and have lunch at the outlook. Then follow the trail back to the
Hotel.

If you look like you belong, you can get in a swim & have a grand (but inexpensive) BBQ on the lawn.
You could also plan on brekkie or dinner in the dining room, which an experience in itself.
