My trip report is still coming! Sorry it is so late. I made it through the first step of getting the pictures up.
And yes my parents still live in Fresno. And yes my dad and I ran the Chicago Marathon together on 10-10-10. Did you even notice our marathon mylar blankets we used at Lone Pine Lake? It was my dad's first marathon and he did great on a very hot day.
We both agree the Mt. Whitney day hike is much harder than the marathon. I'll have quite a bit to say in my trip report about sleep deprivation. I wouldn't recommend anyone do the hike quite like we did it (and tried to do it the first time). But I'll explain more in my report...
