Thanks for the welcome, Steve! Once I get this trek filmed then we'll look for underwriting for the 10-episode series. I can't wait! Whitney and I have some history. After crossing the High Sierra trail in 2011 (the year of a million water crossings) we ended up having to run across the crest, dodging lightening and sleet on Aug 27/28, unable to summit as others also ran down out of the storm toward the makeshift Abandoned Camper zone where SAR helicopters searched overhead for hikers injured by the landslides and flash floods. This past April I ascended the mountaineer's route with Backpacker magazine/Big City Mountaineer but had to stop at the notch, 14K, with a severe fluid cough. Whitney has become my White Whale!
