Here's a video posted recently by Jeff H on YouTube. He pedaled his mtn bike to the trail head from the locked gate, used skis to get up to Trail Camp. He climbed at least to Trail Crest, then skied back to his camp. He cruised down the road on his bike.
Actually he pushed the bike with gear tied on, took 1:45 going up, 17 minutes going down!
What a trip!
