Thank you! Well, to answer your question, I am lean and mean and stay as active as I can outdoors. LOL for my whitney hike I tried to get to the gym often to ride the bike and run on the treadmill a little. Didn't work out as much as I'd have liked. I did a training hike on mount tallac in Lake Tahoe two months ago that was 10 miles round trip with a 3500 ft elevation gain. Overall I wish I had had more time to train for whitney but am pleased with what I was able to do for training and obviously it was enough. I also took emergen-c plus packets daily for two months to build up my immune system and electrolytes. Also had electrolyte tablets on the hike along with ibuprofen. All of that helped greatly along with increasing my calorie count in the weeks leading up to my hike. Hope that helps! I was a little nervous right before the hike also, but confident! Enjoy.
