There's something positive about making a criminal perform restitution as directly related to their crime as possible. I wish our system was more geared toward that approach. Restitution in this case requires a lot of unskilled manual labor, and it destroys her "art." If her fine can cover NPS supervision and supply costs, then this seems like a good opportunity and great message to send out.
