Unbelievable TR. Great accomplishment for Joe and Gary to summit as new best friends. Brought together by a Whitney message board and a bond of unsuccessful summits. Great story of perserverance friendship,family and conquering the mountain. Great read. LOVED IT !!!! I may try to join that group next year. I have a bond with Joe also because we are both cancer survivors and Whitney Summit alumni. Glad you got to enjoy this with your family Gary and that they shared a love of the Sierras with you.
P.S. I agree the windows are no big deal. I have a real fear of heights looking over ledges and they didn't bother me at all.
